Gallery of Glazes - Aerograph

A glazing technique giving the impression of a textured finish. B.112 - Aerograph glaze This week I'm showing casing a fabulous technique achieved by airbrushing two or more underglazes in different directions producing a colour gradient, and in doing so giving the impression of a textured finish. B.115 - Footed dish - Blue / Green Aerographed Glaze Cameron Brown had a fascination for glazes, not only creating his own colour combinations but also adjusting firing temperatures to achieve various results. One of his greatest achievements was the aerographed glazes. By spraying coloured underglazes in different directions, over each other, they created a bumpy effect. However, after trial and error he perfected the technique, including the firing temperature. The pieces are finished in clear gloss. He managed to create what appears to be a fine sandy finish that is perfectly smooth. Below

 The Fortune Teller's face was based on a photograph of who?   Sherwood - The Fortune Teller (1953) For the majority of us we have only ever known Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth as our monarch, however for my ninety-one-year-old father, King Charles will be the fourth King he's known (1) . The morning I heard the news of the Queen's death was the anniversary of my mother's passing thirty three years ago. I cried. Mum loved Princess Elizabeth, who later became the Queen of England. She purchased many royalty books over her life time. Iconic 1956 Rugby Boot

 What size was Don Clarke's rugby boot? 1956 Titian Studio Rugby Boot Tankard - Springbok colours In 1956 Cameron designed a rugby themed tankard with players and a goal post-shaped handle. Dorothy hand decorated them in the various provincial rugby union colours. His  intention had been to make tankards for every provincial match for the 1956 Springboks Tour of New Zealand with ‘Kia Ora – New Zealand – South Africa 1956’ impressed around the base. However, only a hundred rugby tankards were made. Why? 1956 Rugby Mug - Auckland v Waikato   1956 Rugby Mug - All Blacks v ?? (ex Manos Sourris) In  rugby circles Clarke had been nicknamed ‘The Boot’ due to his reliable goal-kicking skills. This match was his first outing for the Waikato team. Overnight,  every rugby-mad enthusiast wanted something to commemorate the historic win.
